Spring has sprung......

The birds are singing, the bees are buzzing and all is sunny and fine, still not much rain.The Spring Racing carnival has started in our town, despite the scare from the "horse Flu" in the Eastern States. One of the three biggest race days of the carnival kicks off today and the weather is fine and sunny. A friend who organizes some of the carnival will be happy with the start to the week!

Amelia the Kitten went to the vet last week, for her needles, op., etc. but she seems fine, still racing around and getting into everything. If you want a example of what she is like, have a look at this wonderful Youtube video of "Sparta" the cat, Amelia is just like him, looks and attitude etc....

The guy who wrote and videoed this is funny and caught his cat just right! Amelia bites just like Sparta, so I think it must be a trait, in fact she licks you first, just like she is "tenderising the meat" and then bites...

Red Noses and Kids...and kittens

It was Red Nose Day on Friday and many people, including the library staff participated in fundraising for “Sids & Kids”.

A lot of the High School Students had red nose badges and I saw a few cars with the car nose.
Amelia certainly enjoyed her nose!

Friends and Comfort food.... because

World traveller KW takes time out to cuddle the cat....she enjoyed England, but found the scenery outside the bus like a passing movie set after a while, too perfect and too much! Big Red liked Ireland the most, but was amazed to be offered 'Aspergoose' soup at one resturant. It turns out there are many Polish people working in Ireland and language is a learning curve for all! She spent her time collecting cookbooks and I have tasted some of the proceeds, YUM!


I've been trying new things too - Sticky Buns! (first time for making these...not too bad)

It was her first mothers day, and my daughter thinks the worst thing about having a cat is emptying the litter tray!
She has to worm her tomorrow, but she is looking forward to that!lol

Amelia went visiting on Sunday to our friend Big Red's house, its scary there,(lots of big cats!) but they had cake for their anniversary.

Introducing Amelia!

This is Amelia, our new baby, she was a present to my daughter for her birthday (her request)!
She is fearless, very friendly, shiney eyed and into everything. She eats well and bounces around the house...we are all very in love!
Even Max the dog is 'smitten with the kitten', lol, following her around and playing.
